Exhibition of Planning Proposal – To Rezone 233-234 Wheeo Rd, Goulburn to SP 2 Infrastructure (Public Utility Undertaking)
Goulburn Mulwaree Council gives public notice of the public exhibition of a Planning Proposal under Schedule 1 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. This Planning Proposal will amend the Goulburn Mulwaree Local Environmental Plan 2009 (GM LEP) by rezoning No. 233-234 Wheeo Rd, Goulburn from RE1 Public Recreation to SP2 Infrastructure (Public Utility Undertaking). The Planning Proposal applies to 233-234 Wheeo Rd (Lot 1 DP 1030749), Goulburn.
The intention of this Planning Proposal is to facilitate the expansion of the existing Goulburn Drinking Water Treatment Plant (WTP) site by expanding the SP 2 Infrastructure zoning onto an adjoining lot in Council’s ownership. It is intended that the lot will be developed in future with additional treatment facilities, specifically treatment lagoons.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council is the delegated local plan making authority for this planning proposal under the conditions of the gateway determination (available for viewing with the planning proposal).
Exhibition details:
The planning proposal and supporting information will be on public exhibition from Wednesday, 29 May, 2024 until close of business Friday, 28 June, 2024. It will be available to view at the Civic Centre (184 Bourke Street Goulburn), the Goulburn Mulwaree Library during business hours or online on the Goulburn Mulwaree Council web site www.goulburn.nsw.gov.au/Council/Public-Exhibition-Notices under the “Public Exhibition & Notices” section. The exhibition will also be available to view on the NSW Planning Portal (Ref: PP-2023-1663) https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/ppr.
Submissions shall be made in writing addressed to the General Manager, with the subject heading ‘233-234 Wheeo Rd, Goulburn - WTP Planning Proposal’ including the planning proposal number (REZ/0002/2122), in person at the Civic Centre, 184 Bourke Street, Goulburn, via post to Locked Bag 22 Goulburn, NSW, 2580 or emailed to council@goulburn.nsw.gov.au. Submissions may also be made via the NSW Planning Portal (Ref: PP-2023-1663).
Please note, submissions may be made public in accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 including both the substance and the identity of the author. Submissions may be provided or published in Council reports and correspondence, on Council’s website, to government agencies, in court proceedings or to any person seeking a copy. The onus is on anyone making a submission to advise if they have made any political donations within the last two (2) years.
