Proposed amendments to the Water and Sewer Servicing Provisions - Goulburn Mulwaree Development Control Plan 2009: Urban Servicing (Water and Sewer), and Water Supply, Sewerage (On-site and Reticulated) and Stormwater Policy
At the meeting held on Tuesday 18 March 2025, Council resolved to place on public exhibition proposed amendments to the Goulburn Mulwaree Development Control Plan 2009 - Urban Servicing (Water and Sewer) Chapter 3.18, and the Water Supply, Sewerage (On-site and Reticulated) and Stormwater Policy.
The Goulburn Mulwaree Development Control (DCP) 2009, Chapter 3.18 Urban Servicing (Water and Sewer) contains objectives and provisions in relation to urban servicing for water and sewer. Additional considerations for water and sewer connections under the Local Government Act 1993 and local considerations are provided in the Water Supply, Sewerage (On-site and Reticulated) and Stormwater Policy. These provisions identify why, where and when connection to Council's reticulated water and sewer infrastructure is required. Specific considerations are included in both documents for development in Marulan whilst the town is transitioning from a common effluent drainage (CED) system and undertaking an expansion and upgrade of the existing Marulan Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).

Exhibition Details
The amended version of the Goulburn Mulwaree Development Control Plan 2009 and supporting information will be on public exhibition from Monday 14 April 2025 until close of business Monday 19 May 2025. It will be available to view at the Civic Centre (184 Bourke Street, Goulburn), Goulburn Mulwaree Library during business hours, or online on the Goulburn Mulwaree Council Public Exhibitions and Notices webpage https://www.goulburn.nsw.gov.au/Council/Public-Exhibition-Notices (links below).
Submissions shall be made in writing addressed to the General Manager, with the subject heading ‘DCP – Urban Servicing (Water and Sewer) Amendment 2025’ in person at the Civic Centre, 184 Bourke Street, Goulburn, via post to Locked Bag 22, Goulburn, NSW, 2580 or emailed to council@goulburn.nsw.gov.au.
Please note, submissions may be made public in accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 including both the substance and the identity of the author. Submissions may be provided or published in Council reports and correspondence, on Council’s website, to government agencies, in court proceedings or to any person seeking a copy. The onus is on anyone making a submission to advise if they have made any political donations within the last two (2) years.
