Resignation of General Manager Warwick Bennett

 At Tuesday night’s Council meeting, Goulburn Mulwaree Council accepted the resignation of General Manager Warwick Bennett, which will be effective as of 8th July 2022.

This will allow time for Mr Bennett to complete a number of key initiatives with the new Council, including the Community Strategic Plan, the next Delivery Program, and the 2022/23 Operational Plan and Budget.

 Council will now seek expressions of interest from recruitment consultants in order to begin recruitment of a new General Manager, beginning following the 8th July, 2022


Thanks for Councillor Service

Council formally acknowledged the significant community contribution made by former Councillors Margaret O’Neill (38 years) and Leah Ferrara (5 years).

 

Requests for financial assistance

 Council approved a $7,600 donation to goulburn Community Radio for a new antenna for their operations, and a fee waiver of $1,576 for Harmony Day 2022.  


Employment Land Zones Reforms

Council noted proposed changes to the Goulburn Mulwaree Local Environmental Plan 2009 resulting from the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s “Employment Zones Reforms.”


99 May Street – Legal Options

Council authorised the General Manager to pursue a prosecution in the Local Court with regard to the numerous pollution incidents attributed to the site at 99 May Street that occurred between December 2021 and January 2022.
