Planning Proposal to amend zoning of North-East Goulburn Enterprise Corridor Precinct

Councillors endorsed this planning proposal which will seek to rezone land in the Common Street precinct of North Goulburn to In1 General Industrial. This proposal will now be forward to Department of Planning & Environment for making, once Roads & Maritime Services have endorsed the traffic study and intersection design for Sydney/Common Street.
 

Wollondilly Walking Track – Eastgrove Section

Form & Pour Constructions quotation for this project was accepted at a price of $381,700. This section is grant funded through the NSW Government Active Transport Program and will see construction of a shared pathway from Carr Confoy sports fields to Sloane Street via Forbes Street, Bungonia Road and Braidwood Roads.

Victoria Park – additional on street parking

Council considered a report on the need for further street parking around Victoria Park along Verner Street and Faithful Street, which would be created through angled parking. Provision to expand on street parking capacity for these two streets will be included in the 2021/22 Capital Works Budget.

Council agreed in principle to proceed with an additional 3.5km of gravel re-sheeting and bitumen sealing works on Pomeroy Road subject to an upfront cash payment or bank guarantee of $100,000 from Pomeroy Road residents who have approached Council. Council will make a $160,000 contribution to the works.

Council determined as part of the interim 2019/2020 General Managers Performance Review that the General Manager has exceeded performance requirements for the majority of the time.
