Goulburn Mulwaree Award
Council endorsed implementation of a Goulburn Mulwaree Award process as outlined by Mayor Kirk in a Mayoral Minute. A community working party will be established following the Council election in September 2021, and have delegated authority to make all decisions regarding processing, assessment and presentation of the awards.
Condolences for Prince Philip
Council expressed condolences on the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, with Mayor Kirk to pass this on in writing to the Governor General, His Excellency, General, the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd).
Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan
Council endorsed a notice of motion from Cr Alfie Walker, to ensure that any development application received prior to the end of May will be subject to applicable s94 or s94A Plan in force at the 31 May 2021. The new local infrastructure contributions plan comes into force from the 1st June 2021.
The Hume Chamber Music Festival
Council supported the Hume Conservatorium’s request for $5,000 in financial assistance for this event, and will also provide in-kind assistance in the form of staff time and social media marketing to the value of $5,000 for the 2021 Hume Chamber Music Festival. The event is proposed to take place annually in September during the school holidays.
Local Government Road Safety Action Plan
Council adopted the Local Government Road Safety Action 2021-2025 which is designed around the previous five years’ crash statistics for the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA.
