Goulburn Mulwaree Council Confirms Its Newly Elected Council

Goulburn Mulwaree Council confirms the official declaration of its nine new Councillors as of 1 October 2024. Elected in ballot order, the new members are:
- Christopher O’Mahony
- Keith Smith
- Jason Shepherd
- Liz McKeon
- Daniel Strickland
- Michael Prevedello
- Caitlin Flint
- Bob Kirk
Council’s Chief Executive Officer Aaron Johansson acknowledged the efforts of all candidates and expressed his enthusiasm for the term ahead.
“On behalf of Council staff, I congratulate the newly elected members,” he said. “We look forward to collaborating with the new Council as we address the opportunities and challenges ahead, striving to build a financially responsible and trusted Council.”
The newly elected Councillors will take their oaths or affirmations of office on Tuesday, 15 October 2024, at 2 PM, where a vote will be held to appoint the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
In the coming months, the Councillors will engage in an induction program in line with the Office of Local Government guidelines, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet their responsibilities.
