Hospital Parking Enforcement Period to begin
Published on 31 January 2020
Goulburn Mulwaree Council is reminding residents and visitors that the enforcement period for timed parking around the Goulburn Base Hospital begins in February.
Work has now begun on construction of the new Goulburn Base Hospital, and permits have been distributed to households along with staff of the Hospital and Goulburn High School.
Goulburn Base Hospital has also been issued with permits that can be given to patients visiting the Accident & Emergency Department. These permits are to be filled out with the date and time of issue and are valid for 24 hours.
“Construction is now beginning to ramp up, and we need to ensure that begin monitoring and enforcing the limits within this zone to ensure people are able to access the Hospital when needed” said Mayor Bob Kirk.
“Throughout January we ran a non-enforcement period, and issued warnings to create awareness around the zones, so the vast majority of people should be aware of the rules and how it will work.”
The permit allows you to park within designated zones for longer than the signposted time limit. It does not allow you to park in other parking restricted zones such as “No Stopping,” “No Parking,” “Bus,” “Loading,” or “Disabled Parking.”
