Media Statement – Goulburn Mulwaree Council Facebook Page

Council advises that its ‘Goulburn Mulwaree Council’ Facebook page has been compromised and is currently offline. Unfortunately, the Facebook page may not be recoverable. 

Council is actively working with Facebook’s parent company, Meta, to address the situation, with assistance from Cyber New South Wales.

We urge the community to remain vigilant, not to provide personal or payment information on social media and report any suspicious interactions to Meta.

Council can confirm that no other Council platform has been impacted by this event.
