New Australians Celebrated in Goulburn: 23 New Citizens Welcomed

On Friday, November 29, 2024, the Goulburn community warmly welcomed twenty-three new Australian citizens.

The special ceremony saw, Mayor Nina Dillon, alongside, Cr Bob Kirk, present each new citizen with their certificate.

“I am thrilled to extend a heartfelt welcome to new citizens from a diverse range of countries, including Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, India, Iran, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, and Vietnam, to our region,” Mayor Dillon shared.

After the ceremony, the Mayor and Councillors hosted a morning tea, giving the new citizens, along with their families and friends, an opportunity to celebrate together.
