New paving for CBD entrance
Published on 05 August 2019
Paving works at the southern entrance to Goulburn CBD will begin next week, with contractors working on behalf of Goulburn Mulwaree Council to undertake the project in Clinton Street.
Brand new paving will be laid in the same style as Auburn Street, running from the side of the Tattersalls Hotel, up to the new building development located on the former Marian College school grounds.
“This will be a brilliant improvement for the southern entrance to the CBD, which will create a great first impression as you come into Auburn Street. As part of the Marian College redevelopment they have continued the paving in the same style on the Clinton Street frontage of their development.” said Mayor Bob Kirk.
Council’s work will commence on the 12th August, and be undertaken between 7am and 5pm on weekdays, with some potential weekend work. The work will involve excavating the old pavement and pouring a concrete base for new pavers, linking the CBD and the new development works.
Traffic control measures will be in place during these works to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Council apologies for any disruption that residents or businesses may experience and appreciates your patience throughout the project.
