Nominations are now being accepted for the Goulburn Sporting Hall of Fame, which acknowledges the contribution made by local athletes who are, or have been recognised as, an ‘Australian Champion’ or ‘International Champion’ in any nationally recognised sport.

The next induction ceremony is to be held this year, and while nominations are ongoing the Sporting Hall of Fame Committee is encouraging the community to think about putting someone forward now as we edge closer to the 2020 induction.

Past inductees to the Hall of Fame include Trevor Bayliss (Cricket), Gavin Miller (Rugby League) and Simon Poidevin (Rugby Union). At the last induction in 2018 the Hall of Fame inducted Kyle Cranston (Athletics), Allan Fitzgibbon (Basketball & Rugby League) and Tony Beecham (Powerlifting).

The Hall of Fame comprises a comprehensive representation of items donated by these gifted local athletes and is situated in the main foyer area of the Veolia Arena at the Recreation Area, 47-131 Braidwood Road, Goulburn.
